Draft: pending review. This text will be finalised before public launch.
SwipeMyJob helps you apply to jobs: you set up a profile once, swipe on jobs, and we fill in and submit each employer's application form for you. This page explains what we store, why, and your choices.
What we store
- Account: your email and sign-in details (via Clerk).
- Profile: name, phone, city and country, work authorization, education, current or most recent employer and title, links (e.g. LinkedIn, GitHub), skills, and what you're looking for (fields, titles, level, workplace, countries).
- Resume: the file you upload, plus job titles, skills and years of experience we read from it to match jobs. We don't keep a copy of its text. During onboarding, a temporary preview reads your name, email and phone locally on our server for you to verify. This preview is not stored or sent to an AI provider; your details and resume are saved only after you confirm.
- Answers: answers you give to application questions, saved so later applications can reuse them.
- Applications: which jobs you applied to or skipped, their status, and exactly what was sent to each employer.
- Usage and diagnostics: app events (e.g. screens and swipes, without your profile values), error reports, and bug reports you send with your device model and app version.
How we use it
- To fill in and submit applications you choose (swipe right) on employers' Greenhouse application forms. Only the details that form asks for are sent, and only to that employer.
- To choose which jobs to show you.
- To draft answers to written application questions using Anthropic's Claude. When the questions screen opens, we send your name, skills, roles, resume experience text and job context to Anthropic. We read the resume at draft time, filter contact details such as email, phone, links and addresses, and do not store its extracted text. Resume experience is still personal data, and automated filtering may not recognize every contact format. Drafts are stored for your review; you must check and approve them before they are sent to an employer. If drafting is unavailable, you can answer manually.
- To keep the service working: fixing errors, preventing abuse, and measuring whether applications succeed.
We don't sell your data and don't use it for advertising.
Who processes it
- Employers you apply to, through their Greenhouse application forms.
- Service providers that run the app for us: Clerk (sign-in), Neon (database), Cloudflare R2 (resume files), Microsoft Azure (servers), Anthropic (AI answers), and OpenStreetMap-based city search (Photon, by komoot) when you search for your city.
Your choices
- See and change your profile any time in the app.
- Download a copy of everything we store: Settings → Download my data.
- Delete your account and data: Settings → Delete account. This removes your profile, resumes, saved answers and application history from our systems. Applications already sent to employers are held by those employers under their own policies.
Retention and security
We keep your data while your account exists and delete it when you delete your account. Connections to our servers are encrypted, and access to production data is limited to what's needed to run and support the service.

Questions or requests: the contact address in the app.
